Counseling Center of the North Shore is a nonprofit mental health center providing counseling and
therapy for children, adults, couples and families. Clinical staff are experienced, licensed mental
health professionals. We accept most health insurance and Medicare. Self-pay client fees are based on a
sliding scale determined by household income.

Established in 1960, the Volunteer Center (VC) is a volunteer clearinghouse that helps residents and
service groups of all ages and abilities in the New Trier Township and the greater NE metro Chicago area
engage in volunteer opportunities and VC-sponsored community-wide days of service. The VC also helps
organize meaningful service projects for groups. From small groups to large, in schools, faith-based,
businesses and civic organizations, the VC will assist with service planning. For families and/or
individuals (teens through seniors) looking for short-term or ongoing volunteer jobs, the Volunteer

Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center provides free specialized counseling and advocacy for adults and children
who have faced the trauma of sexual assault and abuse. Prevention Education programs help youth
understand body boundaries, consent, and ways to seek help if they experience abuse.
