In Arizona, residential property taxes are based on the assessed value divided by 100, then multiplied
by the tax rate, which is set in August of the tax year. The assessment ratio is 10 percent of the
full-cash value (or market value). For example, if a home has a full-cash value of $250,000, the
property tax would be based on the assessed value of $25,000. Tax rates are determined by the sum of the
county, city, community college, school and special district rates. Call (602) 506-3877 for information
(you will need the parcel identification number).
