We are your Business Partner!
As the 2024 Chairman of the Board of the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, I am honored and excited to participate in this organization’s work to make Overland Park a thriving place to live and work.
Each day, your Chamber works as a behind-the-scenes partner to connect you, represent you and work for you.
The Chamber is dedicated to supporting businesses large and small. We exist to make Overland Park prosper. In listening to our members’ concerns and seeking to meet your changing needs, we have expanded programs to help companies find the talent they need, addressing the workforce challenges of today and tomorrow. We provide resources that empower entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses. Our commitment is to nurture an environment where businesses prosper, and together, we achieve remarkable success.
The robust business environment we have fostered in Overland Park attracts talent from across the region. Overland Park is a net importer of workers, with a larger workforce along the College Boulevard corridor than in Kansas City’s downtown districts.
By shouldering a significant share of local taxes, businesses ease the tax burden for residents and play a crucial role in making Overland Park a more affordable place to live.
The strength of our business community lies not just in its economic investment, but also in the civic support companies and their employees lend to our community. They go beyond core operations to support schools, provide gainful employment opportunities and help lead community initiatives that enhance quality of life.
I have lived, worked and raised my
family in Overland Park for several decades and know it is a very special community. Thank you for your support and dedication to making Overland Park the extraordinary place it is today and continuing to support it for our future.
