Chamber & Community Events
MGCCI ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARTY
Our Annual Holiday Party is usually held on a weekday evening during the first week of December at a
Morton Grove Chamber member location. If conditions permit, we will organize an event where everyone can
have a good time, enjoy the holiday spirit, feel safe and stay healthy. Party details will be finalized
later in the year, but we usually book a weekday in the first week of December. One thing is for sure;
we will find a way to raise money to help our local food pantries and those most in need during the
holiday season.
MORTON GROVE DAYS
The very first Morton Grove Day was planned as a one-time event held in 1921 to raise funds for a
monument to those from Morton Grove who fought in the First World War – the iconic
“Doughboy” statue. In 1927, several civic and service organizations sponsored an annual
village-wide carnival that began a longstanding tradition. The celebration later became known as Morton
Grove Days and volunteers from the community who organize this event are part of the Morton Grove Days
Commission. This annual event features a carnival with rides and games, live entertainment, food and
beverage vendors, a parade down Dempster Street and the best fireworks display in the area on July 4
when the President’s Cup trophy is awarded by the Chamber of Commerce for the best parade entry.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
National Night Out is an annual community building campaign established to promote police and community
partnerships along with neighborhood camaraderie. The Morton Grove Police Department hosts the event on
the first Tuesday in August and includes free food, entertainment, activities and giveaways. It is a
great opportunity for neighbors to meet and thank our local police officers.
MORTON GROVE SPRING & AUTUMN FAIRES
A new event brought to the community by the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce. Twice annually in the
spring and fall, as all the holidays seasonal events approach combined with all the anniversaries,
birthdays, weddings and other celebrations – this event will bring in vendors who can make your
celebration a terrific event no matter how grand or cozy you want to make it and provide an opportunity
for local crafters to share and sell their works to the community.
