On behalf of the residents of the City of Maumee,
Welcome to Our Community!
Maumee has been home to Heisman winner, Richard Kazmaier, and the boyhood home of United States Supreme Court Chief Justice, Morrison Waite.
Take a walk along our newly renovated Towpath Park along the Maumee River. Beautiful, peaceful views of the river await you. Also, you must see….Uptown Maumee! We are rejuvenating Conant Street, our main street, with improved landscaping, wider sidewalks, new lighting, and more parking that will allow you to enjoy a homemade candy store, a welcoming coffee shop, popular long-time restaurants, new dining places and much more. We are also improving our historic Anthony Wayne Trail which includes adding several hundred new trees and lighting.
If you are visiting for the sports, Rolf Park athletic complex holds several soccer and softball tournaments each year, with several great hotels and dozens of restaurants nearby. While visiting drive through the Arrowhead Park business community which has beautiful landscaping that makes you feel like you are in a nature park.
Our growth in 2022 included a world class $32 million cancer center, renovations to McLaren St Luke’s Hospital, new automobile dealerships and an assisted living facility. 2023 will welcome hundreds of new residential living opportunities, new senior communities, and many new businesses.
We are not getting older; we are getting better! Whether you are visiting, looking for a new location for your business, in town for the nationally known white bass and walleye run, or looking for a new place to live , you will feel at home in Maumee!
