On behalf of the Chamber of Commerce, I’d like to welcome you to North Iowa! I may be biased, but between the recreational opportunities, internationally-renowned architecture, and cultural and musical heritage, I believe our region is an exceptional place to call home.

North Iowa’s rich history and culture intertwines with a forward-thinking business community. Fortune 500 companies operate alongside century-old family-owned stores and restaurants. Moving to a new community means new opportunities, new experiences, and new friends. However, it is challenging to navigate the relocation process in an unfamiliar place. The Community Concierge is here to help!

The Community Concierge is a service designed to help prospective residents learn more about the North Iowa region and to assist families as they settle into their new home. Anyone who is new to town is encouraged to call us for a complimentary welcome meeting (641.423.5724).

We also encourage you to connect online at masoncityia.com with one of our North Iowa Navigators – our region’s community champions who can help get you settled and feeling at home. This group of volunteers serves as ‘regional ambassadors’ and can help you as a newcomer feel welcomed and connected, all while offering knowledge of the regional lifestyle, recreation, schools, healthcare, real estate, and industry and career opportunities.

Mason City Downtown

Want to live in the center of it all? From modern apartments and condos to renovated lofts, there are many choices for leasing in the heart of downtown Mason City. Just outside the downtown core, you will find beautiful, historic homes - including the famous Rock Glen neighborhood.

Northeast

With proximity to East Park, Highland Park Golf Course, and the beautiful Winnebago River, the neighborhoods in Northeast Mason City are perfect for families. The Highland area is nestled around Harding Elementary School. Asbury Farm and Eastbrooke are residential communities with opportunities to build new or purchase an established home, and Mason City High School is just a stone’s throw away!

Northwest

Historic homes, lakeside views, and proximity to stores and restaurants are just some of the benefits of living in Northwest Mason City. Located just north of MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, the Forest Park neighborhood features exquisitely kept turn-of-the-century homes. Clear Lake

Ten miles west of Mason City, Clear Lake offers a mix of large family homes, lakefront properties, vacation cottages, and condos. Most houses are located within walking distance of the lake, and apartments and condos are available downtown. Since it is one of the premier tourist destinations in the Midwest, residents enjoy living like they’re on vacation.
