Festivals and Community Events
Both Lakeview and Roscoe Village offer a packed slate of annual community events and neighborhood
traditions with fun ways to get out and enjoy the neighborhood. Below are some highlights produced by

Lakeview Coffee Stroll
Southport Corridor & Paulina Hub

Get your caffeine fix and fill your shopping bag at the coffee stroll! Cafes & retail stores will
participate, with coffee, tea and pastry samples being offered, as well as a few discounts on
merchandise!
Lakeview Easter Celebration
By St. Alphonsus Church
April 4
Bring the kids out for this fun Easter activity. Produced by the SSA, this is a free event that
welcomes kids of all ages. Come out and get some Easter candy and a fun photo opportunity with the
Easter bunny.
Lincoln Roscoe Art + Craft Fair
Lincoln Ave. between Roscoe & School
May 16-17
The art + craft fair features paintings, sculptures, fiber art pieces, jewelry and more. Shop art
pieces, listen to live music, eat some delicious food and enjoy the neighborhood community. This event
is produced by Friends of Lakeview.
Porchfest Lakeview
Porches in the neighborhood
May 31
Porchfest is a true neighborhood music festival. Residents volunteer to host concerts on their front
porches, and local musicians play sets! Ticket buyers will get a digital guide with a map of the
porches, a list of the acts and the genres, as well as coupons for neighborhood businesses.
The Low-Line Farmers Market
Southport CTA Station

The Low-Line Farmers Market is a curated farmers market bringing high-quality produce, proteins, baked
goods, flowers and more from local farms and vendors to a convenient location at the Southport CTA
station. This event is produced by Friends of Lakeview.
The Roscoe Village Farmers Market
Hamlin Park
Sundays, June-September
The Roscoe Village Farmers Market is a curated farmers market that takes place at Hamlin Park. In the
heart of the neighborhood, it is the perfect place to shop for fresh produce, baked goods, flowers and
more! The market also features activities such as live music and workout classes.

The glorious taco gets the spotlight it has long deserved at this Southport Corridor food festival.

The neighborhood’s favorite fall tradition returns! This event features family-friendly
activities, beer and wine, pumpkins and of course, candy and costumes! Come out and enjoy this event for

The holiday tradition continues! Kick off your holiday season with this festive event, featuring kids
activities, free food samples, a visit from Santa and a countdown to light the official neighborhood
tree. This free event is organized by SSA 27.
Southport Holiday Cocktail Crawl

This cocktail crawl is another one of the neighborhood’s favorite holiday traditions. Shop at
local businesses on the Southport Corridor while sampling a variety of cocktails.
Menorah Lighting Ceremony

On the first night of Chanukah, the Chabad East Lakeview and SSA 27 kick off the season with a Menorah
lighting on the corner of Lincoln and Marshfield. Come and enjoy this festive event with the
community!
