Welcome
from the President
Welcome to Frisco, Texas, one of the country’s fastest-growing, highest-quality, and most business-friendly communities! We are glad you are interested in learning more about our community.
Whether you are a long-time resident or a newcomer, are visiting, or thinking of relocating your business here, you’ll quickly see that Frisco is a special place.
I moved to Frisco in 1997, joined the Frisco Chamber of Commerce team in 2004, and, since that time, have seen both the community and landscape transform drastically! The population of Frisco was around 16,000 residents in 1997 and now has climbed to over 220,000 today.
Frisco’s population has exploded over the past several decades (in 2022 alone, we welcomed almost 8,000 new residents), and so has the growth of our business community. As a city, we continue to celebrate and welcome many new businesses, including regional and national headquarters as well as over 6 million visitors who contributed over $1.8 billion to our economy.
It’s not just about the numbers in Frisco’s growth. Our community has allowed the events over the past few years to help us become even more resilient and more innovative. Our innovative culture is everywhere - our businesses, schools, colleges and universities, city government, sports venues, the arts, and in new and existing partnerships. This culture also permeates the entities that attract new residents, visitors, and businesses to our area.
The words “innovation” and “transformation” are often used interchangeably, but in fact, the two words complement each other. Innovation is that creative spark, the reimaging, and what comes next is transformation. Think of transformation as the process of “transitioning from one state to another,” a process that takes place over time.
That’s where we are in 2023 at the Frisco Chamber of Commerce.
With our new strategic plan, this year will be our most transformative year yet. This new plan sets the direction to “transform” the Frisco Chamber and the Frisco business community into a more purposeful and productive place of business for all involved. The strategic plan also includes the creation of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a 501(c)(3) corporation.
The Frisco Chamber of Commerce began serving the community over 50 years ago. In late 2019, the Frisco Chamber of Commerce received a 5-Star Accreditation by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a designation held by only 1.5% of all chambers of commerce! This honor reminds us daily of our commitment to the business community in Frisco and the entire North Texas region.
Frisco has continued to add to our long list of accolades, and you’ll read about many of them in this guide. It won’t take you long to figure out why Frisco is an attractive destination to live, work, or play (or perhaps all three). There are so many ways to be a part of our continued transformation, and we hope you will be a part of that story! On behalf of our business community, we look forward to helping you make the most of your time in Frisco.

Welcome
from the Chair of the Board
I recently read that confidence breeds success and success breeds confidence. I’ve never been more confident in the direction of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and the successful impact we continue to have in the City of Frisco.
I was fortunate to plant my roots in Frisco in early 2009. What a privilege to have raised two children in such a special city during a decade-plus of transformation, innovation, and collaboration.
My servant leadership began in the Frisco Chamber as a member in early 2014. The opportunity presented to grow and prosper through various community groups motivated me to plug in and get involved. I’ve had the pleasure to serve as a chamber ambassador, as a member of the Frisco Young Professionals, on the Executive Council for Women Enhancing Business, as a graduate of Leadership Frisco XIX, and most recently on the Executive Committee for the Frisco Chamber Board of Directors. I can unequivocally attribute my personal and professional success to the years I’ve spent investing in our community alongside the Frisco Chamber of Commerce.
The Frisco Chamber team, community partners and Frisco city leaders ignite passion in our business community by working together seamlessly to help one another thrive. The new Frisco Chamber strategic plan will be a very tangible roadmap to aid in the success and betterment of our membership, our community, and our prospective areas of impact. 2023 will be our year to implement core strategies as we continue to test and expand on the blueprint we have created over the last year. I look forward to celebrating these efforts alongside the key players that will have a vital role in our success. Key players include our Board of Directors, our chamber team, committee members, our chamber partners, and YOU.
I consider my appointment as Chair of the Board for 2023 as the opportunity of a lifetime. What an honor to widen the platform to act as the hands and heart of our community on behalf of the chamber. Please know my door is always open to serve you. I look forward to our year of implementation and transformation. The best is yet to come, and we are so much stronger together!
